NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Ryan Richardson's two-run homer sealed a 7-3 Oklahoma victory over Texas Christian in college baseball on Tuesday.
The Sooners (21-15) were ahead 4-1 when Richardson hit a towering homer to left center field, moving Oklahoma ahead 6-1. Denver Kitch hit the fourth homer of the game for Oklahoma in the eighth inning to close out scoring for the Sooners.
The Horned Frogs (20-18) managed a run in the top of the eighth inning to cut the lead to 6-2 off a sacrifice fly by Terry Trofholz. Will Lewis' sacrifice fly to center field in the ninth inning accounted for TCU's final margin.
David Purcey (2-2) allowed one run on five hits in six innings to pick up the victory for Oklahoma.
Josh Gardner (2-2) suffered the loss.
