The Tulsa County Commissioners made a young man's dream come true Monday.
Last week we introduced you to a young man who wanted to create a memorial for Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies killed in the line of duty. The Commissioners gave final approval Monday to allowing the memorial to be located in Chandler Park.
Area Boy Scouts already planted several redbud trees at the site. Now, a flag pole and special plaque will be added. Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz, "I think it's really great that we memorialize the officers who have given their life for this county and the citizens of the community."
Local Boy Scout Aaron Moody organized the memorial as part of his Eagle Scout project.
