As the tax deadline looms closer, there are still thousands of people who have yet to file their taxes.
All tax forms must be postmarked by midnight April 15th. That's why several Tulsa tax preparation firms are beefing up staff and extending their hours.
Some people choose to file automatic extensions. Donna Knight with Jackson Hewitt, "however, if you look at that form you use to file that extension you have to go ahead and estimate that amount of taxes you might owe and they are due with that form, they are to be paid April 15th with that form."
An extension gives tax payers an extra four months to officially file their taxes.
