The Tulsa County District Court jury in the George Hanson double murder trial has recommended a punishment.

Last week, the same jury convicted George Hanson of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Tulsans, Mary Bowles and Jerald Thurmond. The jury is recommending â€˜deathâ€™ in the death of Bowles. Jurors also recommended a sentence of â€˜life in prison without paroleâ€™ for the murder of Thurman. A judge will formally sentence Hanson at a later date.

Another man, Victor Miller is also charged in the case. He will be tried in September.
