MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Country singer Toby Keith will be the featured entertainer at America's Junior Miss competition at the Mobile Civic Center Theater on June 27. The two-hour show, with Deborah Norville as host, will be broadcast live on TNN.
Keith won the Academy of Country Music's top male vocalist and album of the year awards. The
America's Junior Miss program was founded in 1958. High school seniors compete on local, state and national levels, with $26 million available for scholarships each year.
Past national winners include "Good Morning America" co-host Diane Sawyer and Julie Moran
of "Entertainment Tonight."
