(OKLAHOMA CITY) - What may be the first ticketed performance by a member of The Beatles in Oklahoma is slated for August.

Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band is scheduled to play the Starlight Amphitheater at Frontier City Amusement Park Aug. 19. The band will include percussionist Sheila E on the drums; Supertramp's Roger Hodgson and Ian Hunter from Mott the Hoople on guitars and Howard Jones on keyboards.

Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake and Palmer will be on bass and Billy Joel's saxophonist Mark Rivera will serve as musical director.

Another Beatle has performed in Oklahoma before. George Harrison played informally with Leon Russell in Tulsa in 1973.

``We will be using an outside ticket seller for this show and will be selling separate tickets for the Ringo Starr concert,'' said Peter Fingerhut, marketing director for Frontier City and White Water Bay.

``We haven't decided when tickets will go on sale, but everyone who buys a concert ticket will get a free pass for Frontier City Amusement Park.''

Fingerhut said the show is an experiment for the park.

``If this show is a success, we will have even bigger name acts next season,'' he said.
