NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The University of Oklahoma announced gifts from two donors Friday totaling $2 million.

The McCasland Foundation of Duncan pledged $1.5 million. It designated $1 million for the renovation of OU's Field House, with the remaining $500,000 to benefit a new wing to the university's art museum.

The Field House will be named in honor of oilman T. Howard McCasland, an alumnus and founder of the McCasland Foundation.

Also Friday, university President David Boren announced that Clyde Becker of Ponca City is making a $500,000 gift to the School of Geology and Geophysics. The gift is being made in honor of Becker's late father, Clyde M. Becker Sr.

OU will request that Becker's gift be matched by the Oklahoma State Regents Endowment Program to create the $1 million Clyde M. Becker Sr. Chair in Geology and Geophysics.
