(Stillwater-AP) -- Former Oklahoma State player Brooks Thompson is the new director of basketball operations at O-S-U.

Thompson played guard for Eddie Sutton in 1993 and '94.

He went on to spend four seasons in the NBA with Orlando, Denver, Phoenix and the New York Knicks.

Sutton says Thompson brings a great knowledge of the game and outstanding organizational skills.

Thompson takes the place of Pat Noyes, who was one of ten men who died in the January 27th plane crash in Colorado.
