OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Ashli Barrett and Mandy Fulton each homered Friday night as Oklahoma beat Nebraska 10-2 to advance to the championship of the Big 12 softball tournament.
The second-seeded Sooners (44-7) will play either Oklahoma State or Texas Tech in Saturday's title game. Nebraska, seeded No. 1, was eliminated with a record of 49-13.
Fulton hit a three-run homer in the third inning gave Oklahoma a 6-1 lead. Barrett, who had four hits, had RBI singles in the third and fourth innings and a two-run homer in the sixth.
Earlier, Nebraska got a three-run homer from Amber Burgess with two outs in the sixth inning to beat Kansas 3-0.
Nebraska had two outs and a runner at second when Nicole Trimboli reached on a fielding error to keep the inning alive. Burgess then stepped in and homered to left field.
Kansas winds up 32-27.
Also Friday, Carmen Grindell led off the bottom of the seventh inning with a home run to give Texas Tech a 1-0 victory over Texas A&M. The hit was one of only three given up by Jessica Slataper.
The Red Raiders (34-21) played Oklahoma State in a late game. Texas A&M was eliminated with a record of 32-19.
