A man wrongly convicted of rape is adjusting to life as a free man this morning.
39-year old Jeffrey Pierce has spent the last 15-years in prison.
New D-N-A evidence proved his innocense.
The evidence used in his trial in 1985 was given by Oklahoma City police chemist Joyce Gilchrist.
She's under investigation for incorrectly identifying evidence in several cases.
Pierce says the state owes him an apology.
And he says there are more innocent people behind bars.
Former Inmate Jeffrey Pierce: "I wish they would quit trying to hide it and come out and fess that there has been a mistake made and help clean it up."
Pierce says he wants to visit his twin boys who he hasn't seen since they were 17-months old.
Dan Rather will speak exclusively with Joyce Gilchrist, the forensic expert at the center of all the controversy tonight (Tuesday) at 8:00pm on Sixty Minutes Two.
