DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ Joaquin Benoit struck out 11 Cubs in six innings to lead Oklahoma to a 3-1 victory over Iowa in the Pacific Coast League Sunday.
Benoit (2-1) had a perfect game through the first four innings and allowed just two hits to pick up his second win in as many starts against Iowa this year. The loss snapped Iowa's three-game winning streak.
Kelly Dransfeldt's two-run single and Harry Berrios' RBI single in the fourth inning tagged Iowa starter Joey Nation (1-1) with his first loss. J.D. Smart recorded the last out of the game for his third save.
Iowa's lone run came in the fifth inning when Ross Gload scored on a wild pitch. Corey Patterson extended his hitting streak to eight games with a pair of doubles.
