(Sapulpa-AP) -- A preliminary ruling from the state Medical Examiner says a newborn who was found dead in a Sapulpa apartment was stillborn.

The baby's body was found Wednesday wrapped in a blanket and placed in a sack inside a closet.

Police Sergeant Mike Haefner says there are no plans to arrest the child's mother although she may face misdemeanor charges.

Haefner says the mother's name is not being released. She's described as a 29-year-old woman with four other children.

Detectives say the woman apparently gave birth about 8 Wednesday morning, then went to work. An anonymous tip to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation led police to the apartment to look for the baby's body.
