NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Prosecutors have dropped a misdemeanor larceny count against Oklahoma guard Nolan Johnson.
Johnson, 21, had been accused of stealing three DVD movies from a Norman Wal-Mart Super Center last June but prosecutors on Wednesday filed a motion to dismiss the larceny charge, citing a lack of evidence.
Former Oklahoma player J.R. Raymond pleaded guilty to larceny in the same incident. He was dismissed from the team in February.
Evidence and testimony from Raymond indicated Johnson had nothing to do with the crime, Assistant District Attorney Scott Palk said.
