Consumer fraud is growing. People lost more than 121 million dollars last year.

According to Consumer-dot-gov, the top five consumer complaints for the year 2000 were:


  • Identity Theft
  • Internet Services and Computer complaints
  • Prizes, Sweepstakes and Lotteries
  • Internet Auction
  • Advance-Fee Loans and Credit Protection/Repair
