(Oklahoma City-AP) -- With each win, it seems the Oklahoma women's basketball program gains a little more respect.
Two years ago, the Sooners were left out of the NCAA women's tournament.
This year, though, OU was awarded a Number Two seed in the West and the right to host a couple of games.
The Big 12 placed seven teams in the tournament, more than any other conference. Three Big 12 teams were given Number Two Seeds, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Iowa State.
OU coach Sherri Coale says the seedings indicate the quality of her team and the quality of the conference.
OU will face Oral Roberts on Saturday at the Lloyd Noble Center.
