(Ames, Iowa-AP) -- Larry Eustachy (you-STAY'-she) of Iowa State is the Big 12's basketball coach of the year.

He guided the Cyclones to the last two Big 12 championships and has won the award each of the past two seasons.

Eustachy received 18 of the 21 votes from a panel of reporters who cover the league.

Two votes went to Eddie Sutton of Oklahoma State and Kelvin Sampson of Oklahoma got the remaining vote.

Iowa State takes a 12-and-3 conference record into the Big 12 post-season tournament.
