(Tulsa-AP) -- Claremore Public Schools and the parents of four female students are agreeing to settle a Title Nine lawsuit filed by the parents.

Title Nine is a federal law requiring equity in male and female sports.

The tentative agreement was filed yesterday but still must be approved by the Claremore school board which meets later this month.

Details of the settlement have not been released. An attorney in the case says a gag order issued by U-S Magistrate Claire Eagan prevents discussion of the deal until it's formally approved.
