(Stillwater-AP) -- The sports editor of Oklahoma State's student newspaper says a C-D release party saved his life.

Josh Crutchmer says he was offered a chance to fly to last Saturday's game against Colorado, but backed out at the last minute. Crutchmer says he decided to attend a party for the release of a C-D by friends in a band instead of covering the game.

Otherwise, Crutchmer says he would have been on the plane with O-S-U sports publicist Will Hancock. It was the plane carrying Hancock and nine others that crashed, killing all ten on board.
