(Wichita, Kansas-AP) -- The sports community at Wichita State is mourning the death of a former trainer who died in the crash of an Oklahoma State plane on Saturday.

Brian Luinstra is among the ten who died in the crash in Colorado. He is a former athletic trainer for Wichita State and a one-time state wrestling champion at Augusta High School.

W-S-U guard Terrell Benton could hardly speak when told Luinstra was on the plane that went down. Benton calls the situation awful, calling Luinstra a great guy and saying his heart goes out to Luinstra's wife and children.

Luinstra is survived by his wife, Carolyn, his 2-year-old daughter, Alexis Renee, and infant son, Garrett.
