(Tulsa-AP) -- Icy, snowy weather was blamed for a 26-point-eight percent drop in building single-family homes last month in Tulsa.
The drop contributed to a six-point-seven percent decline in homebuilding in metro Tulsa during the past year.
Ed Schermerhorn is president of the Home Builders Association.
He says the economy in Tulsa is healthy. The area's just had particularly harsh weather lately.
He says lower mortgage interest rates are also a plus for builders.
