NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) â€” Country singer Reba McEntire will try her hand at a sitcom, playing a woman trying to hold her family together in Texas.

McEntire's manager and husband, Narvel Blackstock, announced the deal with Acme Productions and 20th Century Fox Television on Thursday.

The Grammy-winning singer will play a woman whose husband has gotten his mistress pregnant. She also has a 17-year-old pregnant daughter.

The WB network show doesn't have a title yet.

McEntire, 45, is making her Broadway debut as the star of ``Annie Get Your Gun.''
