(Grove-AP) -- The Grand River Dam Authority is studying a proposal to build 2,500 homes and a 600- boat marina south of Grove.
Along with homes and the marina, the development would include a fuel dock, a 60-foot-high earthen dam to create a 63-acre lake and boat launch.
The project would be located in an area known as the Honey Creek Ranch on the northeast corner of Honey Creek Cove. Honey Creek is part of Grand Lake.
Gary Carnahan is with the Benham Group of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Carnahan says his engineering company has been hired to look into the development. The Delaware County Assessor's Office says Siegfried Companies of Tulsa owns the property.
