No $10,000 winner yet: Third 'Buy Broken Arrow' ticket drawn

The latest round of the â€œBuy Broken Arrowâ€ $10,000 dollar giveaway unfolded Monday. The Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce drew the third potential winning number Monday afternoon. One month has passed, and still there is no winner of the $10,000 grand prize. The Broken Arrow chamber began the search for a winner before last Christmas.

Normally, the winner has to be present the night of the drawing, but the weather that night forced a change. After the first drawing many ticket holders just gave up. "A lot of them have thrown them away, but they're still excitedâ€ said Star Jewelerâ€™s Kay Thompson. â€œThey want to know what the number is, and they keep calling." Some folks have held on to everything. "The tickets plus a list of all the numbers that I printed off on the computer, so I could easily locate it if I had a winning ticket number,â€ said ticket holder Linda McFadden.

Now there's another round of calls, and yet another number to add to the list. However, there is something that is a little different about the third drawing. The Sutherlands store in Broken Arrow is where the third ticket was issued. The first two winning tickets selected were both given away at the B-A Wal-mart. With a new location, a new winner finally may be the result.

The winning ticket must be claimed by February 6th. What will the B-A chamber do if a winner does not step forward? "I'm not real sure right at this point,â€ said Broken Arrow chamber spokesperson Kathey Landreth. â€œIf we're going to draw another one or if this is going to be it, but we will know this week." It might take several more ticket drawings until the $10,000 is claimed. The Broken Arrow chamber may even decide to hold onto the money, and offer an even bigger prize next year.

Get out those tickets, if you still have them. The winning number is 0160933. The person with the winning ticket has 15 days to claim the $10,000 prize.
