(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The state Transportation Department has about $100,000 left in its budget for snow and ice removal.

That money could be spent today if weather forecasts are correct.

The department budgeted about $6 million for the entire winter, but spent more than $5.5 million in December when two winter storms hit the state.

National Weather Service forecasters say three to six inches of snow could fall on northwest Oklahoma today. One to three inches is possible in central parts of the state.

The southeastern part of the state that was hardest hit by the ice is expected to get only rain from this storm.

Transportation Department spokeswoman Terri Angier (an-JEER') says the agency is ready, but hoping that no more heavy storms hit the state.
