(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A subsidiary of Oklahoma City-based Kerr-McGee is buying the remaining 20 percent interest in the company's titanium dioxide pigment plants in Germany and Belgium.
Kerr-McGee purchased 80 percent of the two facilities in 1998 with an option to buy the remaining 20 percent.
Kerr-McGee chairman and C-E-O Luke Corbett says the acquisition is part of a long-term strategy to increase the company's titanium dioxide business.
The Oklahoma City-based energy and inorganic chemical company has operations around the world and assets of more than seven billion dollars.
