(Tahlequah-AP) -- Four students and two adults escaped injury this morning when a school bus overturned on an icy road near Tahlequah.

Officials say the bus carrying handicapped children was on a regular route when it slid on a patch of ice and overturned while going down a hill about 7:00 this morning.

Authorities say the passengers were taken to a local hospital but none were seriously injured.

The passengers were wearing seatbelts that kept them secure in their seats.

Officials say the road was clear of recent snows and that the bus had made the same trip yesterday with no problems.
