(Stillwater-AP) -- Oklahoma State junior catcher Ryan Budde has been named a first-team pre-season All-American by Baseball America.

It's the second pre-season award for Budde. He also received third-team All-American honors by Collegiate Baseball.

Budde hit 291 last season with nine homers and 48 R-B-Is. He earned a spot on the U-S-A Baseball National team.

He is the only Big 12 player on any of the three All-American teams by Baseball America.

Scouting services have listed Budde as one of the top catching prospects for the 2001 amateur baseball draft.
