SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Al Faux scored 28 points, hitting 7-of-8 3-pointers, as San Diego State beat Oklahoma State 87-66 on Saturday night.

Faux was responsible for a 13-0 run early in the second half that put the Aztecs ahead for good. Faux, hit 9-of-10 field goals and made all seven of his shots in the second half. Faux sat out the final 9:27 due to foul trouble.

In the 13-0 run, Faux first fed Randy Holcomb for a dunk. He then hit 3-pointers on three consecutive possessions before closing the run with a steal and lay-up.

San Diego State (8-3) went ahead to stay at 50-48 on the last of Faux's 3-pointers three minutes into the half.

Oklahoma State (7-2) suffered its third worst loss in coach Eddie Sutton's 11 seasons. The game also marked the Cowboys' worse non-conference loss under Sutton and their worse since an 89-51 defeat at Memphis on Dec. 30, 1986.

San Diego State set a school record by making 13 of its 21 3-point attempts.

Deandre Moore scored 20 points for San Diego State, which won its fourth in a row for the first time since the 1996-97 season.

Maurice Baker led the Cowboys with 24 points, 19 in the first half, as they had their four-game winning streak stopped. Fredrik Jonzen added 16 points.
