Is your New Year's resolution to become healthier in 2001? If so, it is easier to accomplish than you probably imagined, even in the midst of massive traffic jams, packed shopping malls and fast food lines that don't move at all.

People's schedules are even more packed during this time of year, so the first things dropped are fitness and good nutrition. But actually, they don't have to be. Fitness isn't just about going to a gym. You'd be amazed at how many calories are burned cleaning up after a New Year's party. Don't forget to use your muscles when returning gifts. Muscles don't know the difference between barbells and shopping bags so carrying presents for returns can build strength.

Post holiday activities, whether it's cleaning the refrigerator or shoveling snow, are a form of exercise too. However, all that activity zaps your energy, so grabbing a candy bar just won't work. Carrying portable nutrition, like a Balance Bar, helps provide your body with energy. It's a convenient and smart nutrition choice and it assists you in your New Year's resolutions.
