MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ Muskogee High School football coach Tony Peters is reportedly resigning after three years at the school.

Peters said his resignation is not official yet and school board officials have yet to meet on the issue, but the Tulsa World reported he submitted his resignation before the holiday break.

Peters said school officials wanted to take the program in a different direction.

``Since I came here there have been two principals and three athletic directors,'' he said. ``With that many changes it's tough to get on the same page.''

Peters had a 15-17 record in three seasons at Muskogee.

A former OU defensive back, he later played for the Washington Redskins.
