(Irving, Texas-AP) -- Dallas Cowboy backup quarterback Randall Cunningham says he'll return for another season, if the team doesn't start rebuilding by releasing veterans.

The 15-year veteran could continue backing up Henryetta, Oklahoma, native Troy Aikman or start if injuries force Aikman into retirement. Cunningham could also back up second-year pro Anthony Wright.

Cunningham says he believes Dallas has the talent to reach the Super Bowl and he isn't interested in being part of a rebuilding process.
