A famous Tulsa landmark is temporarily closing it's doors this week. The Harwelden mansion will close this Friday for renovation. More than $2.2 million was raised for restoration and maintenance. No tours or events will be held at the mansion for several months, so that improvements can be made to the landscape, interior designs, and disabled accessability. "We've had over 200 private donors that have made up the bulk of the $2.2 million in contributions, and they're going to see their donations come back tenfold when they enjoy the facility," said executive director Wendy Thomas. The mansion will be closed until March. It will have it's grand reopening as part of the Maple Ridge Home and Garden Tour in April.
