(Tulsa-AP) -- Consultants for a commission studying the 1921 Tulsa race riot might not agree on facts it its final report.
The commission says there are still conflicting reports on the National Guard's role in the riot.
Dozens of people were killed during a brawl between blacks and whites.
Historian Scott Ellsworth edited the consultants' findings. He says local Guardsmen joined in the assault. And, he says, there is no compelling evidence of a conspiracy to cover it up.
Both findings are controversial.
Some reports say the Guard was a peace-keeping force. Others say guardsmen joined in the shootout against blacks.
After a three-year review, the commission hopes to release a final report to the Legislature in February.
