(Norman-AP) -- University of Oklahoma redshirt freshman wrestler Mark Worthy is out for the season after suffering an injury in the Sooners loss to Oklahoma State.
Competing at 157 pounds, Worthy tore a medial collateral ligament in his knee during his match against O-S-U's Shane Roller.
O-U coach Jack Spates says Worthy will not be back this season, and could receive a medical redshirt so that he would not lose a year of eligibility.
Worthy will be replaced by junior Brian Burrows, who tore the same ligament before the season.
Coaches say Burrows is not yet at full strength, but they're hoping he can compete in the Sooners' next dual on January Second.
