Two found innocent in teen's death

(Tulsa-AP) -- A Tulsa County jury has found two men innocent on charges of killing another man following a dispute over a motorcycle engine.

Rodney McDoulett and Ruben Pettigrew were acquitted on the first-degree murder charge in the death of Nathan Bonds.

Prosecutor Edward Snow says he believes the jury had a difficult time with inconsistencies in the testimony of some witnesses. Snow says some witnesses to the shooting also lied to police early in the investigation in an effort to protect themselves.

Bonds was killed by a shotgun blast to the head during the dispute at the garage owned by his father.
