Here’s what folks around Northeast Oklahoma are saying about the snow:

warning to mobile home owners-- snow can accmulate on roof tops that can block off the vents to gas and propane heaters causing fumes to build up in side of homes.

Hello, I am in Sperry. We have about 10-12 inches as of 10 am. I am lucky enough to have a company that doesn't look down on me when I miss for bad weather. I get to stay home with my kids and enjoy a fun day! Great job this morning keeping everyone informed of the road conditions and closings. Keep up the great work!

Please remind people to feed the birds.

Please remind people to bring their dogs in from the cold.

I live on the Rock Creek arm of Lake Hudson, southeast of Adair. At 9:15 I measured the snow depth in our yard in a flat open area and we had 14 3/4 inches on the ground. There are drift areas where it is deeper, of course. It is still snowing

GOOD MORNING I am writting you to let you know here in chelsea we have 11 inches on pure dry snow, and it is still falling pretty heavy. you guys are great AND I HOPE YOU HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I live in Nowata. The schools here are closed today, when my little brother and I measured the snow in the front yard, it was at almost 11 inches! It's begginning to look like Christmas!!

From Bartlesville: Our front yard has 10 inches of snow. An hour ago it measured 9 inches. There are no drifts in the front yard, so this is a good measurement.

From Ketchum: we have 9 inches of snow and still coming down hard. My dad right now is stuck in the drive he is getting the tractor out to get his pickup unstuck. But the tractor is having a hard time too. Happy Snowman Day!!!!!!!!!!!

From Cleora: I have a very large, open backyard. I just measured a solid 10-10half inches, and it's still coming down really hard. Stay warm and safe.

Well, I'm out here just east of Collisville on 161st where we have 10 inches of snow now! The bad part is, my mom has already said that us kids can't play out today because it's still snowing so hard and it's so cold out. :-(

Well, my toes are getting cold....gonna go warm them by the fire! :-) Have a great safe morning!

From Wyandotte: 8 inches of snow at 7:00am and still coming down heavy.

We just moved here from Az. this summer. We are just loving the snow as we don't see it in Az. Haven't measured yet but it looks to be close to a foot of snow and is still coming down pretty heavy. Can we order more of this for Christmas? My son Tyler has never had a white Christmas. He is 9 and can't wait to go out and play. Have a very Happy Holiday.

From Owasso: My dad got stuck in the driveway this morning trying to get to work, so he called a wrecker. The wrecker finally got here, but a snowplow came and got the wrecker stuck. The snowplow finally got the wrecker out and then the wrecker got stuck again after it left. It finally reached the last half block to my house.

Hey we have gotten 7-9 inches of snow here in Pawhuska as of right now. I'm looking forward to going to Flannigan Hill today to go sledding! Thats the biggest hangout here in town when it snows. Lavendar

From Busheyhead, Ok: We have a hummingbird that was unable to fly south and is still feeding at our patio! We are rotating feeders to keep unfrozen sugar/water available, as he feeds every 10 minutes or so. (8" of snow at this time!)

Its still snowing here north of chelsea we have about 8 in. so far it is a wet snow so far no one is moving on the road

Goodmorning from Broken Arrow well....we're between B/A and Catoosa off County Line We've got a couple of happy girls - their dad is getting our Rotts out to pull them on the sled. It's fun to see the reaction on peoples faces.. our dogs really seems to enjoy it too!! We watch your show every morning -- becareful and have a safe and fun day...

Dear KOTV sledders,

A story that I would like to see you report on is the road conditions in the Woodcrest Estates addition in Catoosa. Woodcrest is the addition that is just West of 193rd and just South of Pine often referred to as "the houses on the hill in Catoosa".. The mile section of Pine between 193rd and Lynn Lane (161st) is extremely hilly and just getting to the Woodcrest addition entrance is a feat in itself. Once in the addition the hills are so steep that it must certainly be impossible to climb the hills as this addition is not a priority for sand trucks. I live in this addition and am certain I will be pinned in for at least the day. This past Monday, the sand truck did not make it down my street until 11:00 am; that was after I called the City twice requesting sand. I was informed that Catoosa has only one sand truck and that Woodcrest is not a priority as main roads have to be sanded first. I understand and agree with this fact, but I thought it would be an interesting story for your viewers. These hills make the ones in Tulsa look small. Thanks for your consideration.
