(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The temperature isn't the only thing that's dropping across Oklahoma, gas prices are on the way down as well.
Triple-A Oklahoma spokesman Chuck Mai (MAY) says the price of gas at the pump is about 20 cents per gallon lower than at Thanksgiving. At an average of one-dollar, 36 cents per gallon the cost of gas in the state is the second-lowest in the nation.
Mai says prices as low as a-dollar-nine cents per gallon have been reported in Midwest City. He says several service stations in Oklahoma City and Tulsa are selling gas for less than a-dollar-20 per gallon.
Mai says the falling price of crude oil along with an increase in gas inventories are helping drive down the cost at the pump. He says the price may fall even more, but likely no more than by a nickel a gallon.
