Construction of Northeastern State University’s campus in Broken Arrow is underway. It is scheduled to open it's doors next fall. The $25 million facility will offer an alternative for Tulsa-area students who are currently commuting to the main campus in Tahlequah.
Dr. Ed Huckeby, associate vice president for academic affairs at N-S-U, talked about the project Monday on “Six in the Morning.†"We have been offering well over 20 degrees about 27 right now for a number of years,†he said. “And all of those programs during the 2001-2002 school year will move to the Broken Arrow campus."
The city of Broken Arrow is raising $16 million for the facility’s construction. That money is being collected through a half-cent sales tax approved by B-A voters two years ago.
