(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Governor Keating plans to meet with pastors in the Tulsa area who will sign a marriage covenant pledge.

The pastors promise to provide certain services to young married couples, as well as those planning to marry in an effort to reduce the number of divorces.

The pledge is part of the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative that Governor and Mrs. Keating began in February 1999.

The pledge was signed by 350 pastors in Oklahoma City last month.
