Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson is urging the U-S Supreme Court to side against George W. Bush in the Florida election case. Edmondson has joined 13 other attorney generals who believe Florida should extend the time for certifying votes in the presidential election. The Texas Governor is asking the higher court to rule that the Florida Supreme Court was wrong when it allowed more time for vote counting. Edmondson's brief says if the U-S Supreme Court overturns the Florida Supreme Court's decision, then it would be an erosion of fundamental principles of federalism. Edmondson says it could have effects far beyond this case. All the attorney generals who took part in the brief are Democrats. To see the entire transcript of the brief, click here
