(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Top-ranked Oklahoma appears to be a near certain choice for a Bowl Championship Series game.

If the Sooners beat Kansas State on Saturday they'll play on January Third for the national championship in the Orange Bowl.

Should Kansas State win, O-U seems headed to the Sugar Bowl against the winner of the S-E-C Championship game between Florida and Auburn. The Sugar Bowl will be on January Second.

Sugar Bowl executive director Paul Hoolahan says Oklahoma is very attractive, even if the Sooners don't play well and lose to K-State.
