(Norman-AP) -- Not to be outdone by his football counterparts, Oklahoma women's soccer coach Randy Evans has won a coach of the year award.

Evans is the N-C-S-A-A/adidas Central Region Coach of the Year and qualifies for the national Coach of the Year award. Evans was named Big 12 Coach of the Year last month.

In his second year as Sooner head coach, Evans led O-U to a school record ten wins and to a spot in the Big 12 Conference Tournament for the first time.
