(Dallas-AP) -- Time has taken its toll on some of the lesser-known sites associated with the J-F-K Assassination, but still a few private individuals have taken it upon themselves to preserve a piece of the past.

The Texas Theater, where Lee Harvey Oswald was captured, has been closed for years but may soon be renovated.

A group called the Oak Cliff Foundation has raised 2-point-4 (M) million dollars to purchase and renovate the building.

Monte Anderson, first vice president of the foundation, said the deal should be finalized next month and there were plans to make the building an active theater again.
