(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A new poll says a majority of Oklahomans who know how the Electoral College works think it should be abolished or changed.
The Oklahoman-O-U Poll was conducted last week by the University of Oklahoma Public Opinion Learning Laboratory.
Of those polled, 80 percent said they understood how the Electoral College works. Of those who understand it, 30 percent said they wanted it abolished and 24 percent wanted it changed.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus five percent.
The Electoral College has been in the news because Texas Governor George W-Bush could become just the fourth man to win the presidency despite not winning the popular vote.
