(Miami, Florida-AP) -- Former Oklahoma State golfer Charles Howell had a hole-in-one today in the first round of the Shark Shootout in Miami, Florida.
Howell's ace came on the par-three eighth hole at Greg Norman's newly designed Great White Course at Doral.
Howell and Adam Scott combined to card a six-under-par 66 on the first day of the three-day shootout. They're two shots behind leaders Bard Faxon and Scott McCarron.
Howell left Oklahoma State after his junior year. He won the N-C-Double-A championship in June with a 23-under-par total. His score broke the previous record by six shots.
Howell also helped O-S-U win its ninth N-C-Double-A team title.
