(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Gold coins, silver certificates and a Mel Ott baseball card are among the items that will be up for sale next
week at a state auction of unclaimed property.

All that stuff and much more will be put up for auction at 10:00 AM Monday morning at the Metro Technology Center in Oklahoma City.

The items for sale are property that went unclaimed by the owners of bank safe deposit boxes. After five years, the banks send the unclaimed property to the state treasurer's office.

The treasurer's office holds on to the items for another three years before putting them up for auction.

State Treasurer Robert Butkin says his office is holding property for about 250,000 Oklahomans. About $5 million dollars of stuff was returned to about 5,000 owners in fiscal year 1999.
