OSU student accused of illegally selling song over Internet

(Stillwater-AP) -- An Oklahoma State University student finds himself on the wrong side of the law for hawking portions of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album over the Internet.

Nineteen-year-old Scott Bernard Wickberg faces misdemeanor charges of unlawful advertisement or offering to distribute several of the band's songs.

Prosecutors say he stored the songs as M-P-Three files on his personal computer and offered them in exchange for movies on the Internet.

Wickberg faces as much as five-thousand dollars in fines and may have to forfeit his computer equipment.

O-S-U police investigated complaints from the Recording Association of America. The group claimed O-S-U computer equipment was being used to distribute recordings from its member artists.
