(San Diego-AP) -- Former Oklahoma State standout Thurman Thomas says retirement is on his mind after spraining his knee.
The Miami Dolphin running back was hurt after catching a pass in the second quarter of yesterday's 17-to-7 win over San Diego.
Thomas says he may have to consider retiring after suffering his second injury in two years. Thomas says the pain in his knee worsened after he got to the sideline, and that he became emotional when he realized he may not play again.
Last year Thomas missed eleven games after suffering a bruised liver.
The 13-year veteran is ninth on the N-F-L's career rushing list with more than 12-thousand yards.
