(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The state Election Board secretary says the Florida voting debacle won't happen in Oklahoma.

Lance Ward says the problems unfolding in Florida now come from the lack of a uniform system. He says each of Florida's 67 counties has its own voting system Ward says that's not true in Oklahoma, where all 77 counties use the same electronic voting machine.

Oklahoma precincts use an optical scanning machine which electronically reads voter marks on the ballot. The ballots are counted automatically after the voter inserts the ballot into the machine.

All precincts take their tabulations to the county election board to be counted. The totals are then electronically sent to the state Election Board.
