If you've driven on I-244 lately near Bruce's Truck stop, you may have noticed an empty building. It's the new Oklahoma Tourist Center, and many viewers have wanted to find out why it's been vacant for so long.

Consumer 6 called the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and asked about the tourist center. A spokesperson for the department says they ran into delays while putting in a sewer line. They came across rock they hadn't detected during the original construction survey. However, the tourism department says the project is only 6 weeks behind schedule, and should open by the middle of December.
